Support Wildlife

Wildlife and other living things are in decline. Human encroachment, urban sprawl, chemicals, pollutants, climate change, and over-harvesting of natural resources threaten their survival and ours. Support of wild lives and wild places may buy all of us much-needed time in which to make changes. You can support wildlife by doing what you can to protect their habitats, by creating back-yard habitat, by growing native plants, and by finding help for those that are injured, ill, orphaned, or displaced. You can help by reporting illegal activities, by using your vote wisely, and by buying wisely. There are many things you can do and, big or small, each effort contributes to positive change.

Visit our forum to find more information on wildlife rehabilitation, habitat restoration, natural gardening, and other topics that support the natural world.

Support HEGPS

HEGPS was formed in 2009 and as of December 2010 has been a registered non-profit society in British Columbia. In addition to streaming the Hornby Eagles webcam for two years, our members have successfully rescued several downed fledgling eaglets and an orphaned seal pup. Rescued animals are transported to local wildlife rehabilitation centers where they are cared for until they can be released back to the wild.

We sometimes have fundraisers to support these wildlife centers since the care of these rescues can be very expensive. Your support for our mission is greatly appreciated; however, because we are a not-for-profit society and not a charitable organization, your donation is not tax-deductible.

Your gift to HEGPS can be made via PayPal by clicking the button above, or you can send a check or money order, made payable to "Hornby Eagle Group Projects Society," to the following address:
