Wow, good ideas Idahowa. There are lots of ways to get volunteer building help.

Including supplies from local businesses.

Another way we can help, she doesn't have any time for these ideas.

Has anyone written to Boy Scouts, schools or other local groups for help?  It might be helpful to know who has been contacted.

Yes Pageow was researching that avenue last night

Wow, you all are so on top of things!  What about a hardware store donating some supplies?

Just another thought about a local contact.  My local Habitat for Humanity has been know to donate left overs from a build to other Not For Profit Organizations.  Even if it's just a few lengths of 2 x 4's during site clean up, it might be worth looking into the local Habitat.  Every little bit helps.  ♥

Boozhoo
I spoke with Bev today to get the exact requirements for her needs with the cages.  We also discussed some other needs such as food etc., for the folks in her care.  She will be sending me a picture of the bird cages that she needs and the dimensions etc. that are required by Texas.  With that information, it will make it much easier to approach those on the list of local contractors, markets, and organizations  that has been compiled.

Please let me know if you have some time to donate to assist with some of the "administrative" work for WILD and FREE AGAIN.

Thank you Mishi.  Since you are able to act as our contact person and coordinator for our efforts, we can work through you to assist Bev in getting what she needs.  That way she can concentrate on caring for the wildlife that she has at Wild & Free.

     :heart

Idahowa, that's very kind of you to offer to assist Mishi.   Perhaps you can PM Mishi and see what help she can use.   :eclove

I sent a check to Bev ... also willing to help with phone calls, etc. When we know the specs on cages she needs, we can find sponsors and builders.  :nod2

Wonderful connection - thanks all.

Someone is helping Bev set up a PayPal account.  I don't know how long that takes.

If anyone can help create a website for her, please PM Mishi.  Mishi is our contact/liaison with Bev so she won't be pulled away from taking care of the wildlife that need her attention.

Nice start of a website. Love the pictures of some of the animals.

There is a donate spot, mentioning different credit cards and if you click "donate" you can see PayPal.
