Yay!!! Thanks Nancy. Hopefully, someone from the group (would be nice if wren and boonib could make it) will be able to be present for the release. If I remember correctly, the "adoption package" included a video? What a great outcome. Happy, happy! :eclove

Jackie said that there is no limit on the number that can attend the release and they will be flexible about the specific time as well.

If no one local is available to go to the release, then the Center will send us a video.

Nancy, thanks for the great news about Oriole!  That is faster than I thought possible!    :clap :s*

Wren is hoping to go, if her work schedule permits, and I'm sure she'll take photos if she is there.  Hopefully, Booni, Joy and several others can be there, too.  They'll all be excited when they see the announcement!

If we could carpool for the ferry crossings it would save some expense.

News from IWNNC:

Hornby pup "Oriole" weighs in at 45 pounds. If he continues to gain a pound a day he will be ready for release within 2 weeks!

Wow, now i know what a fat young healthy Seal should look like.

I just watched the prior release that Passerine posted.  What a wonderous thing to see!  Thumbs up to everyone involved!  Hope we get video when Oriole is released or at least first hand photos from Wren, Booni, or other nesters.

Oriole's release is still scheduled for October 16, but as far as I know, none of "us" will be there. IWNCC has said that if no one can attend, they will take a short video of the release for us (and we will make sure it gets posted here).
