Mary Jane's first one looks good, and is royalty free! But there is a fee...

Can't get this picture, go to this link:

http://www.stockphotos.it/image.php%3Fimg_id%3D2701320%26img_type%3D1&usg

Eta: this photographer works exclusively with the site, which charges for images. This one is out.

Eta: the swan below is from this source: http://swns.com/contact-us

eta: for the last picture, source is : http://www.restorefloridabay.org/about/contact

The third one, of the swan is dramatic. I also like that it isn't a cormorant, pelican, or seagull, who are all known to try and get a fish that is being reeled in. ( so their injuries  are dismissed by some people)

From the last link:

The other ones won't show well enough, imo.

After looking thru all the pictures & suggestions, I think you have it with # 17 & #20.  Showing the beauty of the bird with the succinct message seems like the best idea. We could ALL make enquiries to post this where fishing tackle and licenses are sold in our area, sporting good stores, marinas, etc. I can make some calls to a couple state & county areas in Southern California and see if they already have something along these lines or who I would have to discuss this with further. More to come.

Thank you Tarvena.  #17 was just an example. We won't use that one, we don't know who to credit. #20 is booni's and we have her permission to use it.  :biggrin6

Look forward to hearing what you find out, :ecsmile

Something to consider:

Do we want one image only to represent our poster?
Or

Do we want a few different ones, including plastic?  ( ie: some sites may be more appropriate for eagles, some other sites, non- eagles- we don't have eagles at our marina)

I'm thinking we want several - we can post ready to print posters in a thread and state that we have cleared the permissions to use them.  This way anyone can print them out and post them in their own areas.

I think we need to check with beans to make sure some of these images are ones she has taken and that we have permission to use them.  :ecwink. Then we'll have several ready.
