Welcome back class! Wild-I'm so glad the kids are able to continue learning about the eagles. Now we can all learn, side by side.

The eaglets have grown so much while we were on Spring Break.  Their  fatter,  their necks are longer, and they are walking around the nest.  They are bopping each other and we like to see the poop shots!   We have noticed that the feathers are getting darker, and their feet are turning yellow.  Today we saw their little black toenails!

Myarion  wants to know...  "Do the eagles drink water?"    :puzzled2

All the moisture/water for the eaglets is contained in their food.  The parents don't have a bucket to bring water to the nest  :mhihi

               AROUND THE WORLD WITH SPARKY!

The class was surprised to find Sparky gone one day when we checked the chat.... I explained that she had gone on vacation, and of course, we had to bring out the globe so we could find all the interesting  places she was going to!  Some of the children have spent some time researching these islands of adventure..... here is what we learned.  (drawings coming soon)    We hope you enjoy Sparky's trip through our eyes!

                                                                          HULA IN HAWAII

On Sparky's vacation she is going to Hawaii. In Hawaii she might see a volcano erupt. She might eat some coconuts with milk inside. She might see a tiki statue. She can dance in a luau. She can surf too.

                   Sparky's  Adventures
Sparky is on an exciting vacation. One place she will visit is Australia.  Australia is at the bottom of the earth.  Here in Florida it is spring, and in  Australia it is fall. It is starting to get cold there.  While she is in Australia, Sparky might see kangaroos. I hope she a great  time.

 New Zealand

Sparky is going to New Zealand.  New Zealand is under the equator near Australia.  Sparky will see sheep and kiwi birds while she is there.   In New Zealand Sparky will eat food  like cheese, fruit, lamb, and fresh fish.  Sparky might  go under a waterfall and swim under the waterfall. After that she will go back to her hotel and go to bed.  New Zealand sounds like a fun place to go!! :nod2

Hi Class,

Sparky is sure having a great time on her adventure.   I can't wait to see the pictures.   It sure is interesting watching these eaglets grow.   It sure is fun learning about our national bird.

Keep up the great work!
