How To Make the Symbol for Copyright

How To Make the Symbol for Copyright -   for use when posting photos from the Hornby Nest (or anything else that is copyrighted)

1.  Windows Vista:
While holding down 'Alt';  on your numeric number pad enter 0169

In the event the above doesn't work; try looking for the symbol 'System Tools. 
e.g. Windows Vista:
  • Click on Start
  • All Programs
  • Accessories
  • System Tools
  • Character Map
  • 6th row down and 4th in from left is


2.  On a Mac: To insert :
Press the Option key (bottom of keyboard) at the same time press 'g' to get the copyright symbol. (1)

I just want to add that your instructions work for me too.  I use IE7 on Windows XP Pro

The Alt key method does not work for me, but the part below does with no modification.

Windows XP:
Click on Start
All Programs
Accessories
System Tools
Character Map
6th row down and 4th in from left is
