Mom takes fish

Dad brings a fish to the snowy nest.  Mom takes the fish and leaves.  Dad takes over incubating the three eggs.

March 23, 2015:  Around 3 AM local time, the nest is completely covered with snow.  Mom gets up, shakes off the snow, and turns the eggs.

First egg: 2/18/15
Second egg: 2/21/15
Third Egg: 2/25/15

The first chick hatched yesterday and has been named D21.  In the video, he is fed by Mom.

First egg: 2/18/15
Second egg: 2/21/15
Third Egg: 2/25/15

Early this morning a second chick hatched!  Mom is busy feeding the first chick. The chicks have been named D21 and D 22.  Dad flies in to have a look.

Just saw this announcement on FB:

7/27 @ 9:40p ct - It is with a deep sadness to inform you all of the death of Bob Anderson, Director of Raptor Resource Project; who RRP confirmed passed away this morning.
An "avian angel" gets his wings... Oh Bob, how you will be missed...

and then this was below a pic of him:

I am deeply sorry to confirm that Bob Anderson passed away this morning. Out of respect for Bob and his family, we are asking that everyone respect their privacy. Official announcements will be made here and on Ustream in the days to come. Our deepest condolences to Bob's family.

Although Bob was very proud of his work with the Decorah Eagles, his heart was truly in his peregrine falcon recovery work. This video tells the story of his cliff work and was a special favorite:
