I want to use it for the ravens in our back yard when they have the new fledgling again. We seem to be one of the feeding stations. But they are so nervous at this time and see me at my back window and leave, so I plan on placing camera on window ledge. Sounds like a plan...   Timed progression photos

That means that you won't be able to use your iPad or iPhone while "filming". What I did, because I'm so fascinated by the little bit of wildlife I have in my garden, was to buy a hunter's camera and for the past year I have been having a huge amount of fun with it.

It's activated by motion and has night vision. I can choose to have still images or short videos. I've seen foxes in my garden most nights and birds of course - sometimes birds that are very shy and I would never normally see. It doesn't have sound, but I bring the SD card in every few days and thoroughly enjoy what I "catch".

Beth, Luv and any others - - -

Have you tried to see if you are now able to view the WE cams on your iPhone or iPads ??

In May of 2012, WildEarth announced HERE, that all the cams would soon be moved. Also they would be implementing 'lite' links.  They indicated that at some point the current access would be likely be removed.

This new site will have many improvements; a new player, new chat rooms, better and more enjoyable archive pages, and much more! And it will allow you to view our cams from your mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads too!
In the past week I was in touch with a member of the WE group to ask her if/when the change was taking place. Her response:

1. Old, but still accessible WE site listing all the cam links can be found HERE.

2.  New WE site listing all the 'lite' cam links can be found HERE.

Not supported, need flash drive on Safari, didn't try photon, because that wasn't the question.

I tried a different browser today in chat because of a good recommendation. ISwifter is a Flash browser and it worked really well! I could see both cams and chat at the same time on the iPad and it scrolled smoothly although I didn't scroll a lot, just a test. I was able to see a video posted and back arrow to return to chat without re-signing in. Very nice! I didn't try posting a link. One potential problem is remembering to change from Caps. Caps stay on, until you change them.
Facebook has been a huge problem with ipad and Safari recently. No problem on iSwifter. :)

Puffin browser has had updates and seems faster and best at this time as a flash browser, imo.

I have the new ipad and I can see the Hornby eagles stream but can't see the chat.  Not a big problem, as I have a laptop.  Still --  does anyone view the live stream via her ipad?

Interesting, Jean, that the cam can be seen via Safari. But no chat that way, no.

I use one of the browsers that have flash, then you can get the cam and chat. I have an iPad 1

Flash browsers are : Photon, Puffin, and iSwifter, and perhaps more.

I see my note above re: Puffin browser and prefer iSwifter presently. Guess it depends on the browsers updates at the time, lol... And their compatability with what I am working with....
