Video  Lunch for One at Lafarge

Video was recorded around 11:45 AM today.

Dad is sitting in the nest. Mom brings in some prey (a bird?). After a few minutes, Dad flies off.  Mom continues to eat. A Raven takes a quick look and leaves. Dad returns. Some time later, both Eagles left, and the Raven returned and helped himself to Mom's unfinished lunch.

Beans, the La Farge eagles seem to have some nice branches to perch on right there on their nest tree.  It will be interesting to see how they use them.   :ecsmile

Thanks for updating us on how they're doing. :eclove

Thanks beans,

Nice to see the home town trio doing so well. I sure hope all three don't try to flap simultaneously  :chuckle

The Lafarge eagles are still around and on Mar. 16 about 4:30 pm an egg was laid (almost same time as the White Rock Eagles).

I heard that two eggs had hatched.  So I went in search of info.

#1 Egg hatched April 23 around 4 p.m.

#3 Egg hatched April 26 around noon.

Unfortunately while #2 Egg pipped on April 25 and was hatching, it became stuck to the egg membrane and did not make it.  :ecsad

Pictures from today April 27 at 8:32 and 8:33 p.m. Nest Time of the two newbies being fed. Apparently one is named 'Jules' (Julienne) and the other 'Indy' (India).

Mom feeds the two eaglets, who seem to be very content.  She and Dad call back and forth, and then she takes off to join him.  If you look closely, you can see her flight and then two eagles in the distance.
