Video:  Lafarge Bald Eagles Have Two Eggs in their Nest

The nest is located on the busy waterfront of downtown Vancouver. At the time of this post three eggs had been laid, but now only two remain.

Nancy, I edited my post to say TWO eggs remain.  Three eggs were seen initially, but when the nest went on line, we saw only two.  We don't know what happened to the other egg.

But here's some good news:

Nancy,

So glad that beans edited her post - was worried you couldn't count!   :biggrin3

Sad news:  Judy on the Maine Forum has some sad news.  The younger eaglet has died.  He hatched the evening of April 18, so was about 4-1/2 days old.   :sad

Hello beans,

So sad about the eaglet. I just 'heard' the news on the African Wildlife thread on HWF. 'Birdsie', one of our AW groupies is a Topic Monitors on HWF.  'Birsdie' mentioned that it never really took that much food ?  :ecsad

The video shows a Mum loving giving the remaining eaglet some food.

I have seen that nest. The cement company has really been very pro-active about making sure the nest remains.

I hear a new camera will be installed!  In the meantime, I recorded a short video from the old camera earlier today.

Video:  My Beautiful Wings

One good thing about the camera being far away is that the cam will stay much cleaner.
