Brigantine Nest - 2019 season
« on: June 06, 2019, 10:26:22 AM »

This Nest territory is at the end of a private dirt road where there are only two houses nearby so quite a quiet area.
The Nest Tree was struck by lightning in 2016.
It seemed for a while the Eagles were building a Nest in another Tree, & then we lost track of what they got up to.
Last year they were back to using the Lightning Tree, & we managed to document at least one Eaglet.

We decided to check out what was going on at this Nest.
Saw/heard no Eagles, but the Nest is still there & in good repair.

That looks like a nice place for a nest, booni.    :eclove

i was invited to try out a new trail to this nesting territory so yesterday i took advantage of that to have a listen & look.
i spotted both Nests, & watched & listened, but there were no Eagles or Eagles that i saw or heard.
