Wiig Nest - 2019 season
« on: June 06, 2019, 10:17:00 AM »

The Wiigs occupy the territory just to the right of Em & Dad*s.
We can see them in their perch Trees on Sandstone Point, & on the Point itself, with our webcam.
Their Nest Tree is absolutely stupendous.
You can see a bit of the back edge of it from the road, but i haven*t managed to spot it from the beach yet, nor have i found a good vantage point to see into it better than from the road, so this makes it a hard Nest to observe.

You can read about last season, and find links to previous seasons
here.
wooohoooo!

There wasn*t much action in the ground obs department so mishi & i went down Brigantine to check out the Wiig & the Brig Nests!
You can see even less of the Nest than usual, if there even IS a Nest.
We asked the fella who lives there but he acted like i was crackers. :pull

Just one afternoon last week, around the 8th of August or so, I heard some fledgling-sounding screeps in that direction. The source of the sound was moving... I wondered if there was a Wiiglet flying around. They usually fledge early, so they could easily be gone by now, if that's who it was...
