More of the Eagles at Grassy Point after that Herring feeding event.

may 24 2019 16:22 - cutie pie youngster

i tried to catch this other Eagle who had taken off, flying past!

mishi spotted these other two Eagles in Trees at the top of the hill at Grassy Point, that, for the life of me, i couldn*t spot!
i think i was looking too high.
i finally looked low.
You can see blood from Herring on one of their toes!

may 24 2019 16:41 - cutie pie youngster

These two had full crops & were sleepy!

We actually drove to the top of the hill, & parked in the best spot to photograph, & were uninterrupted for the longest while!

Here*s the other gorgeous, stuffed, sleepy Eagle.

may 24 2019 16:48 - sub-adult

One of our Eagles was in Glass House Tree & they were being pestered by Crows & then a Merlin!
This sweetie was watching the action.

Finally a car came & the occupants glared at us til i recognized them & said hi & then we had to move!

i do a quick driveby on my way to work & spot an Eaglet peeking out from the back rim of the Nest!
i am on the dark side of the Nest, so not the best foto opportunity, but i will take it!
This foto is before i adjusted my settings to let in more light.

june 15 2019 09:56 - Eaglet on the Nest!

Doing a video gave me a better exposure of the Eaglet so you can see them better.
Cute little fuzzy-headed thing!

i was coming home on my bike late afternoon & decided to go by the back side of the Nest, to see what i could see.
With my eye, i didn*t see much.
But i decided to park my bike, take off my helmet, & take out my camera.
The first thing i noticed is how shaggy-headed Mr. Em is here.
Em is the same.
i deleted this foto, but then realized from the next fotos that there was an Eaglet there!

june 19 2019 16:12 - Mr. Em with Eaglet!

This guy is blowing me away with how good of a father he is!
This is all brand new to him, & he is as keen & attentive as you could ask for.
He*s been STELLAR at bringing in food.
See the Eaglet in front of him?

The Eaglet is stomping around up there, on the back side of the Nest, fortunately, they disappear & so i wait & they pop up again.
It is a cool windy day on the ground, with clouds coming & going, but up there in the Nest it is HOT.
Mr. Em doesn*t seem to be as hot as the Eaglet.
He must be up a bit higher, catching the brisk wind.

Looking down at what the second Eaglet is up to.

You have to look closely at these to spot the Eaglet in each one!

Another view of how shaggy Mr. Em*s head feathering is.

june 19 2019 16:13 - Mr. Em with Eaglet!

Watching the second Eaglet again.
Isn*t he wonderful?
Just the top of the Eaglet*s head to the right.

He is looking up & calling to something he sees up there.
i can hear Em, as though she is there on the Nest Tree too.

Such an adventurer!
See the bits of down fluff stuck to the Fir needles?

i decide to try a little video.
i don*t have my tripod, so it is jiggly.
The Eaglet*s crop is GINORMOUS!
They are stuffed.

june 19 2019 16:24 - Mr. Em with Eaglet!

They are still stomping around on their hocks at this stage.
They only stand on their feet to poop.

Another little video.
