You can see that Fish floating on the surface of the water in the first two fotos!
So perhaps they were already dead or stunned?
Fabulous meal!

A bit earlier this same day, i*d driven *round the neighbourhood & found Em perched at the top of The Peters* Tree.
She*s got that white coating they get on their beaks sometimes.
Looking inland

Looking towards Grassy Point.
i*m not sure where the other Eagle was.

The other Eagle flies in from somewhere & lands below in the greenery.

He calls & Em calls back.

Then has a head scratch.

She*s got a pretty flat crop today.

Looking down at the other Eagle.

i moved closer to the water to see if i could see them both.
My back is to the water, & they are looking out towards the water.

His eyes are very striking somehow.
He has an interesting, kind of rugged look.

Em just ignored me, but this fella was definitely a bit startled to see me standing there with my camera & was checking me out.

Did a quick run through the neighbourhood before settling in for the evening & starting my fire.
i found one Eagle in The His & Hers Tree in lovely light.
i thought this was Em, & that the setting Sun was making her look dark, but now i am thinking this is the male!
i was wondering where Em*s two faded feathers had disappeared to already.
At the time you were watching an Eagle in The Glass House Trees, who was probably Em!

october 15 2018 16:57 - Eagle in The His & Hers Tree

Couldn*t figure out what this big blob was, floating off the Point!
i figured a Loon.

october 15 2018 16:59 - snoozing Sea Lion

& this gorgeous Heron, standing on the point to the left of the bay in perfect light!

october 15 2018 17:01 - Great Blue Heron

Going by my camera monitor i thought the exposure was too dark so i upped my ISO one notch, but i like the first version better!

THIS was what had really caught my eye.
i could see this flock of red colour as soon as i got there!
i LOVE these Birds!
