Have been watching my praying mantis in my sedum grow this year and caught him having lunch,  blends in with the colors

Gmadeb3, this bird looks a lot like the one in dizzymom's post a few days back (post #850) which she only called a "hawk." Hopefully, one of our great "identifiers" will come along with a more specific name. 

I just love black squirrels. We have the grey ones normally but we have noticed a few black ones are migrating in from farther west in the state of Maryland. The grey ones just look so much cuter for some reason. Thanks for sharing your photos.

Taking a guess at him, I think he is an immature, possibly a Swainson's Hawk. The dark eye coloring is a bit of a mystery as some passerines eyes change color as they age. I don't know if this happens with hawks. Gmade do you have any other pictures like of his tail?
He does have a red tinge on his shoulders.

No I have not been able to get a better picture,  I am not good at catching them in flight.  Thanks for your input I am more aware of the birds in our area now so will keep my eye out and the camera with me.

The Sandhill Cranes stop by here for a couple of weeks and eat  from the picked cornfields before they finish their migration.  Here they are doing a little courtship dance for their mate.

Yes tiger some hawks but not good at naming them, just a hawk I guess.
