Dear Mojo and your family, you have gone on, too soon, but have touched so many lives , here on our Hornby Eagle Chat, and through your love for family and singing , may you rest in peace and fly with the Eagles and Angels, my friend, who was always so friendly and so so helpful about the Eagles on chat. We will all miss you so much

Dear Mojo, I will always remember you.  You were so kind when I first started chatting, you made me feel welcome and always eager to help.  Your knowledge of Eagles was very much appreciated.  Fly free! xoxox

Dear Mojo
You were always  a friend - warm and helpful to others, informative about the nest, the forum, the eagles and the chat. You welcomed all  newcomers and tactfully corrected misinformation.  I have every one of your wonderful Hornby eagle designs and will  dearly miss the HIP trip creations in the future. Your spirit will always be a part of the Hornby family and now that it can fly free with our dear Phoenix and Echo we will look up  to catch your essence. Rest in peace dear lady.

 :heart From Floodwater

The Eclectus: Song of Solomon

Last night the sky opened its hands
in the dark and a monsoon poured over the cottage.
From gutters rivers flowed,
spitting and moaning.

We rose up out of our beds to watch
Indians drumming,

the same spectacular moment,
God held Mojo in the dark of another room
of too much light.

Holds her still though the parrot
in its cage imagines a shackle,
and sings for what it understands
is missing.

The larger the heart, the greater its light shines.

In her room that is too white for winter
bald eagles keep gathering.
The hurried nurse shoos with her arms back and forth
but they won't listen.
You would think its a salmon run
but the pinks aren't due till December.

Although none of this
makes sense to us now,
eagles perch to tell us something:

like worry is a pastime not suited for royalty,
or God blesses the opened-mouthed who sing,
or take a moment to imagine the Wilson,
its bald and good natured company.

Mojo--
in the little boat of unfurling sails,
we pray, the wind not find--
smiles at that.

Maureen has traveled from this physical life to her spiritual one, where there is no pain, no tears, no hardship.  She has joined those who passed before her.  A joyful reunion.  She lovingly watches over her family and close friends and will welcome them when they, too, pass over and join her.

Some say death is the sunset of life.  I think it is more like the sunrise.

Dear MoJo,   the story of your name and that funny and awesome poem you wrote I will remember.  But it is your fierce, sweet, gentle nature I will admire always.

I went for a walk today
       and Eagles I heard
          trilling and gulling
tho I could not see them
           I knew they were there

     For Mojo                       hugs  Judy

My heart goes out to Mojo's family!  She was such a lovely, generous chat friend, always cheerful, always quick to help give advice, and she designed wonderful t-shirts.  I will always treasure the t-shirt of Phoenix she designed, and now it has more meaning than ever.  Mojo will be tremendously missed!

So many times I have shared the information Mojo gave with people I have known with such enthusiasm.  I had been a Hospice nurse and was injured on the job.  While I was recovering HEGS was instrumental in my life as was all the information I learned about eagles.  I am so saddened by the loss of such a beautiful soul.  RIP sweet soul Mojo.

Such devastating news! Sincere condolences to Mo Jo's family.
We joined the Hornby chat around the same time, when Phoenix first hatched. I remember the rapid-fire questions in chat when MoJo became a member of HEGPS. She was a warm and welcoming presence in chat and here and she will be sadly missed by many.

Mojo’s Journey

The dark hours

In the dark hours
A special heart stopped beating
Mojo has moved on

Loved ones will mourn
A new soul is born
Flying peaceful and free
Floating over the trees

Passed loved ones to find
Having limitless time
Her song filling the skies
Mojo flies and flies

She leaves us behind
It is not yet our time
Yet she stays in our hearts
Forever a part

You are loved Mojo
We are changed because of you
Always in our hearts

Morning Comes

Eagles trill this morning, saluting Mojo on her journey.
They feel her kind spirit on the wind; feeling her love and joy.
The critters feel it too, they pause when she passes; knowing love is around them.
The trees and rivers, indeed all of Nature, take in the love.
Mojo flies on, sharing her loving spirit as she finds her way to what lies beyond.

Friends, pets, and family are grieving; as is their right. Their loss is acute.  Yet Mojo knows time will help them and she has left them each a part of her. She cannot tarry; she knows what she must do and continues on her way.

It is her time to fly.

Godspeed, dear Mojo.

For Mojo, my friend.

You possess a special spirit.  It has been a privilege and pleasure to have shared time with you. I will miss you and your amazing talents.  You brought so much to our group.  I am better for having known you, as are so many you have touched.

Fly on, Mojo, fly on. Your destiny awaits.

Love,
