Just a note:  the Jay who took that incredible eagle photo isn't 'our' Jay here in the forum.  He's a contact I have on flickr and I thought you might like to see that picture.   :ecsmile

Sunday evening, January 23, "Birds of the Gods" will air on "Nature" (PBS).  It will feature the unusual variety of birds found on the island of New Guinea in the South Pacific and should be very interesting and beautiful.

What a great video Tigerlady! Those are some very energetic dogs to begin with and that one was certainly persistent (and skilled at the game). Thanks for sharing this fun footage.   :nod2

Birdy, I was laughing so hard as I tried to follow the dog!  He must have 'played' before with his owner.  I'm going to watch it again.   :eclol

I came across this video today and thought that I would share it. I have heard pet birds "sing" before but this one struck me as very....well...soulful?   :nod2

For anyone who has not seen the BBC special "The Bear Family and Me" with Gordon Buchanan, it can be found online in three hour long parts. The links are as follows:

Part 1:  http://www.justin.tv/dunan01/b/276920747

Part 2:  http://www.justin.tv/dunan01/b/276939165

Part 3:  http://www.justin.tv/dunan01/b/276995982

These are the correct links. Parts 2 & 3 will not work for me today, but they did last night. Part 1 still works for me. I think it is just a problem with MY computer. I hope the links work for all of you.

Birdie, - how did they teach that parrot?

Dizzy, links work for me, but with # 3 I had to click on a notice to indicate I was '18 yrs. or older' before it would start. The notice said that some of the content might not be suitable for all viewers.  I will watch the videos over the weekend.

That bird really has a better "voice" than many people I know!  Someone must be playing music there!   :eclol
