Beans, I so enjoy your videos!  :eclove   It was wonderful to see the 3 babies again, too!  :ecsmile
"Stop Thief" reminds me of the day of the "Intruder" when the intruder got the sea gull wing, but not the babies.  It was the first time I had seen an intruder attack and it was quite unnerving!

I am so glad you have posted the eagle videos on YouTube, it is nice to see things I have missed as well as take an occasional walk down memory lane.  :heart

Dad and his sticks!  He also had some problems with Breeze, Hero, and Tiny, who found the stick irresistible.

Beans, great videos!    :clap   I especially enjoyed the Sidney Kids' Chorus in "Get Away from My Stick."  Poor Dad Sid.  He's probably muttering, "Why did we have so many chicks at once?!"  :chuckle

Video:  Sunset Housekeeping

Monsieur arrived at the nest around 5:15 PM.  A few moments later, Madame arrived.  After 15 minutes or so, both left.

Video:   First Egg for the Sidney Bald Eagles

Madame is incubating the egg.  Monsieur arrives and they switch places.  He will stay about half an hour before Madame returns.

Over the last few years of watching eagles, Iíve noticed that the eagle which is incubating the egg(s) seems almost reluctant to leave and let the other one take over.

Is that the big branch, which Monsieur delivered on February 21, over on the left?

I am currently over on HWF for the morning WE Game Drive.  'Birdsie' ( a Topic Monitor on HWF) just asked our drive group if we had heard that the OLD Sidney nest had fallen from the tree today. There have been really strong winds on Vancouver Island today. Both Sidney cams were down for a bit.

If you are interested, the posting about the collapse of the old nest starts here:
 http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=39059#39059

Also a new thread has been set up for Memories of Sidney Nest 2006-2009

An unfortunate event; luckily neither of the Sidney adults were over there.

PS - there was also an intruder today at the nest. Caused a great deal of concern and angst.  I believe there are photos on one of the threads there.

When they moved to the new nest, we all wondered why they would have left the old one.  Perhaps the eagles knew something was wrong with it.   :puzzled2

beans, thanks for the video.  The eagles there, Hornby and any other places on Vancouver Island and Vancouver Lower Mainland certainly had a rough ride on Friday. Let's hope it is calmer today.
