Well, it isn't looking festive here yet, Rajame.  I haven't begun decorating this year but last year was beautiful as we had lots of snow outside to add to the Christmas feeling.

(The quality of that video was the result of my cat playing with the cord hanging from the camera and I gave up doing it over again because I didn't want to keep winding up the music box.)

Blue, what a lovely home and view!

(But I believe that you may have missed a step in posting the video...it links back to imageshack.com. You may want to try to upload and then copy the link :puzzled2)

ETA - Oh, maybe the above photo was not a video?

Hey Blue, wish I could send you some of what we received today.
Snow, I mean. We have lots now. I love that video.

Blue, what a lovely room and view you have!  Thank you for sharing the photo with us, even if it is from last year.  That looks just the way I picture Christmas with snow and being cozy inside.   :heart

That scene would make a very special Christmas card!    :clap

Yes, Birdv, that is just a pic.  The video is at PhotoBucket because ImageShack has become useless for videos - they convert them to Mp4 now so I have to transfer older videos from there to PB before posting them.  What is really puzzling me is that I can't play videos at PB, not even my own!  I haven't been able to figure out what is causing this. But I can post them for others to play.  :ecsmile

Ah Blue,

That is lovely.  Do you pinch yourself daily to believe you are blessed with such a lovely view?  I am so happy that you shared our decor and the view.

Hugs,
Rajame  :heart

I can play PhotoBucket videos, but everything freezes up when I exit.  I wondered if it was a Firefox problem too as I know AJ was having the same problem with PB and FF.  I usually have to shut everything down, but the other day I just walked away and left it for some time after trying to shut down the tab where I'd watched the video.  When I came back to my computer 20 mins or so later it had shut down the PB video, and everything else (other tabs) was OK.  So it seems that something is 'hanging up', and I'm guessing that it's PhotoBucket.  I am no longer watching PB videos.   :sad

Madrona - where can we post our videos that we don't want on YouTube?

Rajame - I never take this location forgranted, nor the house that I designed (back when we were allowed to draw our own blueprints so long as they were to code), nor the garden.  We started out here with a holiday cottage 43 years ago.

Last time I looked at Flickr, Booni, you could only post two videos per month or something like that.  I will look again, thanks.

This is the end of a video I made for Christmas in 2007.  We have a tradition, going back around 30+ years of lighting Amaretti wrappers on Christmas and trying to catch them on a plate.  Our grandsons enjoy this tradition, too, and I caught them on camera a couple of years ago.

Beans!

I have learned something here today.  Never in my life did I know that this was done or how.  What a great scene of the holiday goodie table and the children in anticipation of the wrapper coming back to the plate.

Thank you for sharing.

Hugs,
Rajame  :heart
