Minnesota Bound ~ Harmon's Story

emc, thank you so much for the videos. This has been quite an experience for everyone - Harmon, mom and dad, viewers, rehabbers ... some of us trusted, some of us worried, we were all elated to see this happy reunion. And we all learned so much - about eagles, about rehab, about trust.

The folks in that crazy busy MN Bound chat room were saying that Harmon told his parents "Mom and Dad, I was abducted by aliens."  It probably felt like that to the poor little guy.  What a happy day!

Harmon in the news:  http://www.kare11.com/news/article/975568/396/Eaglet-reunites-with-his-parents

Turns out the Raptor Center had gone back to the nest to take him down again - they did not want him to spend another night alone!  They were "this close" when they saw Mom and decided to wait a bit longer.

Harmon is doing very well and keeps getting stuffed to the top of his crop...he might pop!   :eclol  Plenty of food on the nest.  First Mom Minn was feeding him a rabbit or other furry critter and now from a big, fresh fish.

It was neat to see. Mom took all the food near Dad, then he went looking for scraps so he could feed too. :wub

I understand that first feeding might have been 13 min long. If anybody finds more video of it, please share it here.   :ecsmile. Thanks

I was watching this cam back in March and one day the band on Dad's left leg was very noticeable. At the time, a few people on Facebook were trying hard to figure out the letters/numbers, but I don't think anyone very did.
