We have snow!
& it is not in any hurry to leave.
More yet is in the forecast for tomorrow.
i haven*t been out of my driveway, other than on foot, since last friday.
Two days ago, after the first dump, i was sitting doing my puzzle when i noticed that the female Anna*s Hummingbird was resting on my skylight!
It had been snow-covered, but was defrosting a bit, probably because of the heat from the wood stove.
Perhaps she was enjoying the warmth.

Yesterday we woke up to more snow that had fallen overnight.
Then it snowed all day!

Looking down from an upper window at all my big blue clay pots on a table & the Bird feeder!
Also the Apple Trees & the climbing Rose bush over the cabin cistern.

The back garden yesterday...

compared to how it looked last july!

Some of the action in my garden right now.

april 30 2019 11:46 - Honesty/Silver Dollar Plant/Lunaria Annua

There are at least two of these in my seasonal creek right now & can they ever make a racket!
i used to have so many & then i have had none so i am extremely pleased to have them back again.
So far i am not seeing eggs, however.
Usually i just see the tiny bright green ones so i am wondering if it is the males look like this?
Takes about six of the tiny green ones to equal the size of one of these.

Okay, update!
Looks like this is a Red-legged Frog.
i*ve never seen one before.

My Lilacs are lovely this year!
& believe you me, they smell as fabulous as they look!

i was taking some close ups when i noticed a Bee who seemed to be sticking the wrong way out!
Usually you see their butt, not their eyes!
Yikes!
Look close.

I love your garden too! Your season is far ahead of ours this year :puzzled2 - my lilacs are still just small green buds on the branches.  :really  I am so ready for spring.
