We don't have a date yet, the equipment has been ordered.  We are hoping by the end of this month  :heart

Mary Jane I am just so happy :0  Thank you thank you.  The idea of a spring and summer without the Hornby eagles was dismal.

Just re-discovered the site and heard the great news.  While we wait for the cam: is there any news about the Hornbys - eggs in nest or anything?

I am so totally happy about this news!  I was really and truly missing the Hornby's.  Did I see a post where Doug thinks there is an egg in the nest as of the 19th?

Thank goodness for FB!!  I just saw the post that there will be a new cam to view Ma and Pa Hornby!!  What wonderful news!!  I made my first trip to Hornby Island last August after watching the cam for two years. Even though the eagles were gone it was magical being in the place they (and many other eagles) bring their babies into the world. I'm looking forward to spending another season with this wonderful pair and their new babies.  :heart

Will we be able to see them up close like we did in Mr. Carricks cams from above or will it be just sideways and from beneath.  Just wondering.

Welcome to Our Nature Zone Chacooe.

The parts are in and it is being assembled and tested. :)

The view will be from above, but 200 some feet away but with a zoom lens. We won't know exactly what we can see until we have it installed and working. Go to this link to get an idea of what we will see from a distance and then zoom in. :)
