I was just trying to be funny. Yes, she goes up above the camera's view. She likes to perch there.

WOW, what a morning. They were on the nest just after 6 AM. Visit last apprx. 45 minutes. Then another visit around 8. This lasted over an hour, plus we saw on camera our 1st mating.

Lucy has been interested for a long time and I am sure it wasn't their 1st. Actually I got a ground report this week of another mating on Wednesday.

Larry also brings in a small tree that would make any eagle proud! This is a must see and I cut down over a hour of video to manageable video.

Thank you, talon!  I love these myth-buster videos (old wisdom was that eagles never eat on the nest - wrong.  eagles never mate on the nest - wrong).

Lucy and Larry were both on the nest from ~2:25 until 2:42 PM.  Both were calling they appeared to be on high alert.

Larry brought in a cornstalk at 4:48.

Someone posted on our facebook page a question. The question is do eagles lay eggs mostly at night? What does the research say about this? I'm thinking they do.
